Position Summary: Manages 2 subordinate supervisors who supervise a total of 20 employees: Barry Cousens (On Site Supervisor) and Warren Gunnell (Workshop Supervisor). Responsible for the overall direction, co-ordination and evaluation of these units. Co-ordinate activities of divisions or departments such as operating, manufacturing, planning, sales, maintenance, research and development. Essential Duties: Responsibilities include Administration, estimation, interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and conflict resolution. Quoting on all new projects. Ken reviews data to determine material and labour requirements and prepare itemized lists. Works out cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing and scheduled work determining cost effectiveness. Ken will confirm prices by fax and by phone and site measures for quotations. |

Brief History: Sharon and her family emmigrated to W.A. in 1969. Sharon grew up in the Perth suburb of Morley, and her first job was as a Library Aide at the Subiaco City Library. After travelling north with Ken and spending several years in Kalgoorlie before deciding to settle in Bunbury and start B.V.A in 1987/88. Sharon attends to most of the paperwork in the office, from book keeping to wages, to answering the phone, to invoicing and the list goes on. She also looks after their 3 children and the dog. They have now settled in Eaton. |

Position Summary: Supervises and co-ordinates activities of workers engaged in fabrication and assembly of structural, ornamental, or sheet metal products by performing the following duties: Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs sheet metal parts, equipment and products. Supervisory Responsibilities: The Workshop Foreman analyses work orders and blueprints to determine information such as material to be used, type of operations and sequence of operations required. The Foreman examines defective machinery, Inspects work in progress and finished products. He establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet product schedule. |

Position Summary: The Position of Boilermaker / Welder is to plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and repair in the heavy metal fabrication industry. Supervisory Responsibilities: Barry assumes responsibility for workers when on site work is required, to ensure all workers know the safest procedure to carry out the job at hand, to check all machinery & tools are at hand and to order materials required to carry out job.
